i've had that same issue before, i cleaned the corona grid and still had the problem. Then i preformed a drum refresh and it took care of the issue. Mind you i dident replace any parts..

It looks like you're getting a variety of suggestions for each consumable. There was a firmware update a while back that took care of this problem. I have had the same exact problem with a 4035 and firmware fixed it.
I think its your dimm
hi there! my friend, this kind of copy is not due to laser. because if its from the laser unit, it will give you light copy. you said jasonW you replaced drum, dev unit, transfer roller, fusing section and charge assy but still the same prob. try looking at the high voltage board. maybe the contact is corroded, clean that contact and put some contact grease.
hope this will help. good luck buddy!
ok... look... run a copy... then change the charger...
run the copy again...
if you see the marks...
take out the drum and find the marks...
if you see the marks on the drum that correspond to the tire tracks...
replace the drum...
thats it... bad charger or bad drum...
if you have done all of that then the problem is that your fuser has the marks burnt into it...

he already replaced this parts, definitely its not from the charger nor the drum unit. you dont need to perform drum refresh if drum unit already been replaced. most likely high voltage board(contact is not good).
keep us up to date with this prob jasonW! good luck buddy!
bad laser will give you dots
LOL
How interesting! I don't think anyone has suggested the paper feed tires yet.
Let us know what you find. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

might be this... near the drum on some of these older copiers there is red felt roller... you will see it when you pull out the drum... directly in front of that or rather above it a white bar and in front of that and slightly above is a metal bar... in some models... there is a special cleaning blade that attaches to that... if this cleaning blade gets worn... it can cause this issue... the blade usually comes in the drum kit if I am not mistaken... I had a similar problem a while back... changed drum, fuser, developer and only after calling up the area tech did I find out that this guy can cause issues... if he goes bad... toner spills... on the drum and then goes everywhere... causing nasty ghastly stuff... the hint will be if the red felt is black... if its white thats also not a good sign... but black says the blade is getting bad...
