thanks kyoceradude.

can you try the pwb first?

we are getting the same errors. we replaced the color motor and now its popping the color cleaner motor errors. we think we are chasing symptoms not the problem, i'm leaning towards the board myself..but hard to tell with all the wiring in the thing. we are going hunting for pinched wires this afternoon

Funny enough when I contacted helpdesk I was told there was no issue with these motors and boards, and mine was the only machine to behave like this. I received my replacement motor yesterday and it looks like it was taken from a stock machine they had. it was also from an older batch than the faulty one I replaced, so I guess there were no more motors in stock. so maybe the problem is bigger than we think.

**UPDATE**

Got two motors in on Friday. they were the wrong ones. They were also pulled from a machine, not new. Got the correct motors on Monday and that took care of the problem. There is definately a prob with the motors. Also had to replace all the dv units, (cyan twice, because the first one was puking developer all over the place) because the numbers in sim 131 were way wacked. Testing for a few day before it goes back to the customer. What a P.O.S.

....mah...

peronalissimo opinion: do not break the engines, the toner sticks and forms a film on the sensor that inhibits the call of the toner.
Otherwise why changing the group and the car just empty toner?
I changed ten groups mainly black and cyan, and no motor

What I noticed was the developer drive motor stopped working. when the devveloper unit was not turning, there was no developer passing in front of sensor, thus giving incorrect reading and then toner motor engages filling up dev unit with toner. and yes the problem color was Cyan. All i did was vac out excess toner from dev unit, then run sky shots of 1/2 page to bleed the overtoned dev (until i got slightly faded coverage). then I recalibrated the half tones. seems to have worked so far...Touch wood!!

Note I did not redo sim 131.

I got a new pub this morning about the 7XXX codes. its the motors going out. there is a fuse that blows when the enviroment is bad and also the stress the motor goes through when the dv units are packed. I will get back with you guys with further details.

Just a quick update. The motors were replaced on the 250, it worked for a couple of days then quit working again. It was deemed dead and is being returned to Kyocera. We also have a 400 (with less than 1000 copies) and a 500 (with a whole bunch of copies) that have been shipped back to be worked on, as they are also giving C7XXX codes. We have pulled parts off of our 400 machine (our showroom model) to keep others running. I will post another update when I learn more.

Are you guys having the same C7xxx issues with the firmware updated to the latest levels? I was just curious...

We only had the problem on one machine and it had v5 on it when it developed the problem. It now has new motors and new v6 firmware.
