I got the same info, there is revised part with a higher rated fuse that will hit the streets soon but as of today, they weren't even in the system on KMAConnect.

If you are looking for motors which are currently backordered you can order the entire drive assembly, the assemblies for the 250/300 and 400/500 were both available.

Kyocera just came out with a tech bulletin for this. Look under taskalfa 400 or 500 for tech bulletin #6.

You've probably already noticed the bulletin on this subject, just a few days ago. In short, it's a blown resistor on the motor's driver board. The new production motors have a higher value resistor (250 ohms to 350 ohms). All covered by warranty.

I don't know how I lucked out. I haven't seen any trouble yet.

One of my techs had it on a machine last week, It was a pain in the ass to figure out because we were getting toner motor and CMY Developing codes at the same time.
