    TaskAlfa 250 C7104-C7000-C7102

I have a 250 machine that is giving me fits. I went to fix a C7104 code. After fiddling with it, I cleared it, then the machine gave me a C7000 code. After checking the toner moter, which appears to be good, the thing then gave me a C7102 code. It also is saying the magenta toner is empty, but I have changed that twice. Any help is appreciated.

The DV unit are Locking up. Clear up some of extra toner. It over tone it's self. Vacuuming up the Extra Toner that has built up in the DV units and try too turn them freely that should help. I had that problem too but after I did all that it ran great. If you can get it to run and the DV units are Locked up put new ones in.

    Tell me if that helped

We replaced the developers on the machine (before we read your post) and the same problem has occured. We think we might have done something to the board trying to get this machine running. Will keep updating as we work deeper into this machine.
Thanks for the response, we will keep this in mind.

don't smack me... but are you sure that the developer unit cables are not crimped or crushed... if this happens it can give all kinds of weird codes...

(when you open the copier... take off the door... take out the wast toner... take out the toner... take off the front panel... you see four developers and drums... each set has some wires and a plug... if those get crimped... by the cover that you just removed... the darn thing will light up like a christmas tree with all kinds of wierd codes...)

All right. We found out the color developer motor was bad. When we replaced it everything worked as it should--and even made copies.

We will keep all thoughs in mind if this happens again. Thanks!!!!

I don't know if this is related, but I am having a problem with the color dev and cleaning motors. The first problem was no color being printed, but no error code generated. I traced it to the developer drive motor (cmy) not working. Replaced that, and now after a few days I have problems with the cmy cleaning motor (c2352).

I suspect there is going to be a problem with the cmy motors, as they are both the same. maybe a poor batch.

    Angry T/A 500ci ^%$#@*

I'm having a simular issue. First the machine was giving a 2351 black cleaning motor error. Only when you put in a new drum. Original drum crappy copies no codes, thats why we had to replace it. Now in the shop I get a 7000 code. Neither black dv or cln motor turn on and it constantly wants black toner. I can't even get into sim mote to test motors because it callc for black toner. Anyone else seen this. I do believe the motors could be bad, but this is crazy on such new equipment.

Follow up. No more codes popping. No black toner printing on paper. Black dv & black cleaning motor not turning. Ordered both motors and engine PCB. Will advise as to what fixes it.
