jamming creasing on c850

Hi guys, having a problem on a c850 machine, wondered if anyone can help, when copying on A4 the pages are coming out with two "folds" on the page, not bad enough to effect copy quality, you can hear the paper crumpling as it feeds to the transfer belt, and the creases line up with the start and finish of the belt (if that makes any sense at all) seems to work fine on A4R.

I hate these machines!!

Any help appreciated.

cheers

I think i had this a while back but not fully sure of the cure. I stripped out the drive unit behind the m/c. If i'm correct the transfere (when its shut) locks into a drive coupling which is controlled by a clutch/gear mechanism. I either replaced the clutch/gear or cleaned it out. It was a pain in the ass but it did stop it creasing.

z-fold before transfer belt=defective/worn clutch in drive assembly b. got new complete assy on warrenty, but that's 5 years ago. 850( and 830+printer version fs-8000/8008) falls into same group as fs-5016=crap. throw they away. they're old, slow and pretty useless. almost ok as black/white machines, but overall crap.

hi, thanks for the replies guys, im not liking what I hear though, am loathed to go into the back and start fiddling with drive etc, got little experience on these machines, all I really know on these machines is how to swap dev units, because they used to go all the time, I really dislike these machines, thankfully we only have this one out, scrapped the rest, this was put out as a cheap colour option, much to my disapproval!! anyway, ill keep you informed!

cheers

the problem was solved by adjusting the output speed of the card .. and the new series of groups melting ;-)
