km 3035 fax issue

Hey all I have an issue with faxes. When the customer sends out a fax they claim that the transmission report shows the wrong number and the number printed is not even a phone number its just some random number. They did save me a transmission report I can see what they mean I also print out the activity list and its shows a couple TX's that show the destination as these long random numbers. What I was thinking is this might be the TSI information from the machine they are faxing to but I thought the destination was supposed to show what the person dialed. Only thing I can think of is to upgrade the F/W on the machine and see what happens. Thanks

Your first idea is correct. The number that is shown on the reports is the info that the customer programs in the fax machine that you are sending to, regarldess of the number they type in when they are sending.

Spot on, kyoceradude, why can't customers ever understand this?

Strange, because they're ALL phone experts.

fax TSI

Its the TSI
thats the number that is programed into the fax that is recipient not the phone number they dialed.

So if they got a transmit page it when though and there TSI if programmed in there fax 777-777-7777

If you get a error page it will show the number dialed on it.
