Has anyone besides me had issues with some of the Falcon I and KM-3035 drums making a whistling, squealing sound shortly after having been replaced? I had this with drums out of two different maintenance kits and wound up having to swap them out. However I got one to stop only after I ran about 25-50 sky shots. Is KM not very good about lubing their drum blades in these units? I have never had to out of the box.

I have had this happen only one time, once i replaced it the issue was gone.
I have never really trusted the original priming on any manufacturers drum units or blades. Maybe because I started out on Mitas, with Selenium Tellurium drums and separate blades. A blade flip was instantly fatal, so I never take the chance.
Most moderrn organics and ASi drums are much tougher than those old Selenium Tellurium drums, but I never changed my priming procedure. I've still had a few blade flips over the years, mostly on Sharp Panthers, usually within 1000 prints of installation. The funny thing is that I could never find any specific fault in the priming. I've always used the same Katun drum powder. Drum blade vibration has not been a problem since the Mita DC-211/213/2105/313/313ZD.
Some Canon drum units used waste toner to damp vibration in the cleaning auger system. After 50 to 100 prints enough waste toner has started down the auger to quiet some squealing or scraping. Maybe it's something like that. =^..^=

2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.

I agree with blackcat4866. Have had to do the same "powdering the blade" with many Fal II drums. (we use Katun powder also) Also performing a drum refresh helps.

Finally just got to where I open the door, put it in 30 and powder the bat snot out of it. That got it. Had a 3050 drum do the same thing so the disease seems to be spreading.
