I have NEVER seen an LSU go bad on a Falcon. C-4200 is generally an arced Main Charge. Don't bother cleaning it, just replace it. You can even use a Falcon 1/2 MC. That has always resolved that issue for me. If an LSU is actually bad, you will know it. If you have worked on any 1810 or 2050, you (and the entire city block) will know this.

Agreed. I remember a Canon fax L770 series fax at the airport, that sounded like a plane was landing every time they received a fax. Of course, they were quite used to that sound, and didn't even notice until it coded. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I have a suspicion about the MC now that you mention it. The history of this machine has been "black copies". I noticed the motor assy was removed as a fix for the copy quality issue and the MC assy has been replace a couple times.
AN ounce of prevention is worth a pound of obscure
    spare screws
