I'm new to the Kyocera line, will one really get the yeild out of the 500k kit ???
    I'm just used to pm's at 100 or 200k on a 45 or 50 cpm machine...

IN most cases, no...however, they are under warranty until 500K

In most cases the fsr will need changing from about 400k-500k but the rest of the kit will usually last the 500k or as near as dam it.

Just make sure you carry out normal call maintenance and keep the charge assy clean, I change the charge wire approx every 100k-150k but thats just my choice.

As long as the machine is properly cleaned and maintained, the kits will last longer than 500k. Main thing is keep the filters on the right side inside the bypass clean. Otherwise, that machine will turn into an over and the heat roller will have more lines than Lindsay Lohan. (Rimshot). Also, you'll need to clean the right registration roller cleaning felt or it'll build up with paper dust on the developing roller have produce white lines on copies.

If you run a decent volume they will get there. if not you might end up doing the kit a little early

yes.....and no. first: you have to use Kyo-toner, nothing else. mandatory.

like others say: fuser tend to wear a bit before, round 350-400k, drum seal tend to leak into/onto charge unit at same time (this can be cleaned) .

BUT: it's 500k/3 years. machines that have heavy use, like printing/copying large jobs and not have a lot of rest, seem to do 500k with ease. coverage is also (of course) important. i've had 3035's doing 450-470k (they're supp to last 400k), and 5035's doing 600-620k (that's my top ones ). both these had fusers with wear (sep. finally goes through roller), but if i were a micer, i'm pretty sure the drums and devs on those could have done 20-40k more with cleaning. main point is that a normal business machine rarely touch those figures. the xx35-line are also 5 years old now, so they're getting old

btw: the fuser and both drum/dev (and possibly toner) are refined/enhanced just a bit on the xx50 series (falcon3), so they have a better chance to reach 500k (and beyond). have yet to lay my hand on a 420i or 520i, but i guess they are identical to falcon3.

color machines is another story....at least up to taskalfas. anyone with high milage taskalfas? i'd like to know.

and since we're at it: anyone who have a 8030 dev used to the max? the ones i've changed at 500k looked great. 750k should be absolutely possible under right circumstances.
