    kmc3232E scan problems

scan to email I get this e024 error after sending.

This customer has one taskalfa, it works great. However when the exact same setting is apply to this kmc3232e, gimme this crap error.

any idea what maybe stopping the smtp from recognizing?

can be anything, any experience is appreciated.

It's an authentication error. You can get authentication errors is you have it set to ON on the web interface, but it's not ON at the SMTP. You can also get authentication errors if you have it set to OFF on the web interface, but it's ON at the SMTP. Also if the authentication should be ON, and there is a problem with the login or password.

My guess is that there is some slight difference in the settings, that you haven't noticed yet. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

That's the printer side? Does it need it as well?

The scanner side is blue screen.

I don't have a VoyagerE on the network right now. That's a Saturn (TASKalfa CS-500ci).

The choices are basically the same, just different web page appearance. =^..^=

I did recall going in there, but I might have heard wrong. For voyagerE, printer and scanner use two different IP.

    Yes, that's correct.

I've got an CS-8030 on the network, but I can get a connection. Someone must have turned it off... =^..^=

so in order for authentication to work.

the scanner has to have smtp on, and the printer side as well?

    question

Are you sure the dns settings are ok...?
Is the kmc3232e ip address blocked for scanning to email?
have you tried turning dhcp on to pick up the dns settings and then tried setting up smtp...?
are you positive that the email address work meaning password and login are good?
did you setup a defualt subject line and body for the email message?
did you try doing an smtp test from your laptop while assigning your laptop to the same ip address?
did you setup the smtp email address with a login and password... sometimes one mistakes the admin email address for the smtp email address?
    did you check the cable?
    is there an ip conflict?
did you try setting up the smtp with an smtp server and email that you know works... that is not related... meaning a test email and smtp server... if this works then there exist the possibility that the email server is seeing your copier as a spammer...

try connecting wireshark and follow the smtp connection...
