Kyocera's marvellous engineer decides to out foam pad behind these fingers to reducr noice.

but what happens when the pad is hammer enough times the adhesive has leaked to the front? sticky fingers.

one of our guy says to tape over the foam pads to prevent sticking.

none of the bulletin works, its not the spring nor the solenoid.

Maybe the fix worked for you in your neck of the woods. but blackcat said he repaired his by releasing the tension of the lift belt, and other guy said by replacing the lift motor. For me personally, i have replaced quite a few of the soleniod springs, which actually broke.[can't remember which code it throwed if any ]. There is a new spring part number. see the bulletin. Also i have seen the solenoid where, you cannot remove it as it is like welded to the solenoid. just my observations here. but your fix it certainly noted.

    Hello,

    Tomorrow i'll go to a Taskalfa 400ci with a DF760(B).
    Sometimes C8140.
1st visit: Changed solenoid and spring.
2nd visit: changed main PWB finisher.

Now i saw a new Service Bulletin (see attached)

@Blackcatt; Where exactly can i change the tension of this belt?

    Thanks on advance!

i fixed it by removing the foam behind the solenoid and haven't heard back in 2 weeks. Realigning Tray A is important too. In the past i replaced the Tray A motor .... The belt tension release is an improvement but not a solution IMHO

Not sure if that one is the one above the solenoid that is to reduce the noise... Did you also Try the Tray A alignment?
It can also be the Tray A motor

I'll see if I can find an illustration. It's really easy to find. Locate the only two timing belts that are about 6 feet long. They lift the elevator tray A. Then follow them around until you find the tensioner/bracket/spring/screw. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

    Re: DF-710 on a CS-C4035E - - - C8140

Old issue but I have a DF-760 on a 300ci with this c8140 error that is preforming very different.

The first stack exits to Tray A the tray then starts to move down as the second stack is forming in the finisher. The tray seems to get stuck and keep moving down like 6-8 inches then the machine halts and gives the c8140 code.

I think its a sensor problem have not had time to dig into this one to far. Not sure if its the main tray paper upper surface detection sensor, or where the hell that is in the parts manual.
