Thanx again for the help
I fixed one recently by setting scan default to B/W instead of color..Haven't heard back in a month. This customer has my cell number and would have called by now
Hi thanx for everyones help. I cleaned the slit glass and it seems that, that was the problem.
I am fighting this same issue with a customer colored lines when scanning with document feeder. except twice I hace cleaned the DP glass it has gone away. Then the next day customer calls back and the lines are in a different spot. If you lay paper on glass all is fine.
clean the slit glass
If your customer does not let the ink dry before scanning documents this exact problem can happen many times a day. The customer needs to understand that they are responsible for cleaning the slit glass when necessary. It's not difficult.
Who knows? Maybe they'll learn to let the ink dry? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

How do you get the speech bubble a round text?
When you'd like to include a quote from a specific post, at the bottom of that post you'll find a button called "Reply With Quote". Click that, and a Reply window will open with the desired text already in the window. You can edit that text, or add after it, but you must leave unaltered the prefix and suffix (before and after) the quoted test.
And I'm not smokin' nothin'. =^..^=

Every time they call, clean the slit in front of the client, scan... "see it was just dirty"... next comes the billing part... should be a quick to learn lesson
