    Edge to Edge printing

Any one know how to do edge to edge printing on the new Kyocera Colour MFP's, the customer is prepared for the extra toner costs. By default the machine is putting a 4mm border all the waty around, they would likt it redusec to say 2mm or non at all. I have tried to fool it by telling it it's oversize A4, A3 etc, and adjusting the margins in service mode.

i think.. its not possible for laser printers...

    why??

    your paper might jam..

separation claws may got problem separating your paper from the fixing roller...

Agreed. There are several reasons a laser printer needs a margin on the page. I have worked with some print shops that do full bleed on laser printers, but they print on 12x18 paper and trim the edges.

Adjusting your margins so that the print reaches the very edge of the paper will not only create quality issues near the margins, but will likely cause mechanical problems as well.

"full bleed" printing is done by printing an 11.25" x 17.25" image on some 12 x 18 paper and then trimming the excess. The Kyoshiba's and newest TASKalfa color can handle the 12x18 paper.

Yeah davey, you've got to trim to get full bleed. Laser printers of all sorts require voids. There's no way around it. And even if you do find a way to remove the voids, you'll get fuser jams like crazy.

You'll only make your life more of a living hell. An endless cycle of return calls for fuser jams. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

    Easy fix,
Just print on the next size paper up and cut it down. THIS IS HOW IT'S DONE. Wanna get around the digital boarder... fine... don't piss and moan when you get dirty copies.
Color is not 4 times harder... it's 65,000 times harder. They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.

You must reduse printermargings by adjusting Laser margin in the servicemode if its a MFP

... and a lot of toner leaking in the machine.

Hi Blackcat, i have the problem on a TASKalfa 300ci that does not have a void lead edge on print only causing fuser jams.(copy is fine).Any ideas on how to increase the void from nothing to 3-4m? Registration is fine.

Enter in Service Mode with 10871087 and configure margins in SIM 402, lead margin, etc....

    Bye !!
