Had a customer that smashed display on CD1240 (KM4050)
CHANGED the display and switched machine ON. Then was constantly program loading so we ended up upgrading the firmware and it produced code CFB31.
Any help on this?

Its meant to be Communication between motherboard and operational panel, however now after FW upgrade through CF card the display is completely black
heeeeelp
you need to change the dimm panel and dimm main and update the firmware ,good luck
Right after change of display and Before the FW upgrade I had Program Loading for LOOOOOOOOOOOOng time 20min + so I thought after FW it would kick in ,,so you think the operational PCB and DIMM is gone?
It could be caused by a wire pluged into the wrong connector. Recheck the connectors.
Yeah. Thanks for reminding me Mark:
"CFB31" error message after disassembling the panel to clean out foreign matter, then attempted to reload firmware. Tech connected (5) pin harness connector to YC9 instead of identical sized connector YC1. Connect (5) pin operation panel harness connector to YC1. Leave YC9 empty.
"CFB31" error after 2nd attempt to flash & ~5 min of "Program Loading". "Main CPU: ERROR" after flashing from V2.04C to V2.04D. Blue Screen of Death. Corrupted Main Eeprom. (also possible Op Panel Eeprom). Replace the Main Eeprom (part#: 302GR94201). Reflash if necessary.
Don't ya hate it when you cause the problem?! =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

MARK AND BLACKCAT..you are my heros I will try that tomorrow, I just want to prove my colleague that he should leave the tiny difficult jobs to me and stick to rather bigger jobs like cleaning machine..I stress NO DISRESPECT TO ELDERLY..but sometimes they drive me nuts with things like these
Yeap I think there was 1 connector not connected and when I asked him if it was not connected he said there was nothing connected to it..I am really looking forward to see his face tomorrow...
I intended to do a re-assembly of the whole unit, I just haven't found the time...when is busy is busy.. at least I have you folks here to pick the quick brains before I spent my precious time on machine that actually works , trouble is I am managing to find time during night time to browse copytechnet instead of spending 15 minutes more with the machine BUT now more people know..and that is the whole beauty of this..
YC9 - 5 pin Engaged
Switched to YC1 and fired up OK,
DID U201 + FW upgrade and it is now all OK!
Thanks Mark and Blackcat I owe you a beer
I'm glad it was the first choice. =^..^=
