    Need details of KM-4030 Drum

Hi I would like to ask about the copy life span of KM-4030? How many copies does it really make? Thank you very much.

Re: Need details of KM-4030 Drum

    That's a big "Depends ..."
For starters they're rated for 400K.

It depends on the copy volume. The higher the copy volume the closer to 400k you'll get.
It depends on the environment. The drums greatest risk of damage is arcing from the primary. In a dirty environment the primary gets dirty quicker, and is more likely to arc to the drum.
It depends on if the customer cleans the primary units as part of toner replacement. Cleaning primary units is only a good thing if they let the alcohol from the cleaner dry completely before starting the machine back up. Few users do this, so often they shorten the life of their drums by starting up the machine with the primary still wet. Generally I advise my endusers that it's better not to touch them. Throw away the cleaner. Forget that you saw it.

In a low volume, dirty environment I've seen 125K before it arced.
In a high volume, clean environment I've seen 550K and more.

    Does that help any? =^..^=

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thank you very much yes it did help, i would also like to ask about the copy life of the cleaning blade. By the way, does the drum and blade of this machine can be purchased separately or by kit only? Is it also available in compatible or in original only? Do you have any idea where I can buy these parts (the cheapest ) somewhere in west coast maybe, or other countries too like Singapore, Hongkong, China, Europe etc. Thank you very much.

If you have an account there is a discount:
Kyocera Mita KM4030 Black Drum Unit, Genuine (G8131)

I don't do much purchasing from Singapore, or any of those other places. Try Google.

They only come as assemblies, and only OEM. =^..^=
