    Is this problem particular to 1 user or all users?

    Are u copying or printing?

    Was it printing/copying ok before(qualitywise)? what has changed?

    Assuming the ecoprint check box on ur printing preferences is not checked,press the system menu button(on the panel),use the arrow down tab at the bottom of the screen to scroll to the next page,select Adjustment/Maintenance...print density...(scale is 1 to 5),select ur preference.

    Re-read ur post & realized an error on my part;the guide I gave was for the cs420i;
    for the 820,go to the Print button..Printer menu...Print quality...Eco print Mode (should be OFF)

    The queries that I was asking still hold true,socheck with them.

    i went there and tried to change the density--- i could do it on the copy screen but it wouldnt stay if someone touched the reset button-- the only way to change the density so it would stay was to go into sys/menu mode but when i did it was calling for a 4 letter/digit password--- i tried 0000---1087---neither worked------------ANY IDEAS???
