CS-2550 questions

CS-2550, in Maint. mode, 089. should allow test prints. It will give me "grayscale", 256-level only. The other tests produce blank prints. Also getting copy function but, from left to right, it begins to slowly fade. Also, unable to clear the drum count (U110). Count is displayed but not enabled to clear. There are a few other small probs, but perhaps one familiar with this CS-2550 will be able to address them.

I'd start with a Firmware re-flash or Upgrade as needed.

I agree with firmware issue. Although drum situation makes it a little different. Did you try to "clear" count before or after you put in new drum. If you had the new drum in it should have reset.

You cant clear the maintenance count on the drum unless it is above 150k.
It will just show count. But will not have option untill 150 k is reached. called tech support on the same question before
