Have you turned on correct black line in systems settings? This allows the unit to ignore dirt on the slit glass up to a certain extent. Have you cleaned "under' the slit glass? Had one today that was producing a line in the copies from the adf and found that speck of dirt had been attached under the slit glass, not common but it does happen.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

this is my longest call time... been almost 3 weeks and still cant find the answer.. i even pulled out the machine to have it check for in-house repair...already disassemble the scanner unit... and i still get the same error.. clean slit glass message..

Older canon's have the same thing, you could turn that off in one of the user function modes. Have you check the users manual to see if there is something to turn off? Just a thought.
yep it was u326 but... still the same... last thing i might do is firmware upgrade.. but cant find one.. coz need to have a dealer accounts on kyo website to be able to download one.
