    Kyocera TA520i C8800

Boy I can go for months with no issues, and then the s@*% hits the fan.
Anyway this box has been in the field for three years without so much as a sqeek.
The IT guy called me and said he was getting a C8800 Finisher error.
Off and on resets it but happens more often now.
Service manual mentions a reg. motor?
Has anyone had this issue and resolved it?
    Thanks gentlemen & ladies.

    Here's what I found.
Did a service status report/ NO FINISHER INSTALLED!
After correcting the issue I would guess the error code should go away.
I'm happy I went with the obvious.

So ... a U906 partial reset did the trick? When you get a finisher error it will lock out finisher functions and will not display the error. The base machine will function normally, well as normally as it can with the finisher functions blocked. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

    No go on the U906.
The obvious and time tested > remove finisher connector, power down, reconnect connector, power up
run service status.....wala, finisher 3000 now connected. Why it dosn't state a DF760 I dough no?
In the past week at this account I have had some strange issues.
2 Canon IRC3480'S with rams cleared. Took me awhile but I finely got them back to service with the help of this forum.
Sometimes I think IT dept is the culprit.
I'll tell ya I can go for months without any mind blowing issues, and then the s*%& hits the fan.
    Go figure.
