    kyocera km-1620

    Hello! I have a kyocera km-1620 that shows me an error. I plug it i press the power button, it turns on and shows the following error: C-6 400 blinking. The fuser doesn't start to warm up, it just go into error. Anny ideas? Thanx!

    The times that I have had that error code were usually associated with some sort of power disturbance or voltage spike.. It could mean your power supply has taken a hit and got fried or possibly the engine board took the hit, or maybe even both.. The very first thing I would try is to perform Maint. Mode # 163.. This is a fuser reset code that resets fuser heating errors.. I have had occasions where the mm #163 did not resolve the issue.. But it is a good possibility that it might work for you.. If it does not fix your issue, then I would start lookin at the power supply ass'y and go from there..

    The code is listed straight from the service manual.

    C6400 Zero-crossing signal problem
    The engine PCB does not detect thezero-crossing signal for the time specifiedbelow. At power-on: 3 s Others: 5 sPoor contact in theconnector terminals.Reinsert the connector. Also check for continuitywithin the connector cable. If none,remedy or replace the cable.Defective powersupply PCB.Check if the zero-crossing signal is outputfrom YC2-5 on the power supply PCB. If not,replace the power supply PCB.Defective enginePCB.Replace the engine PCB if C6400 isdetected while YC2-5 on the power supplyPCB outputs the zero-crossing signal.
