Angry CS2550 Still the Same!!!

This thing is driving me nutso! Don't know what to do next....new drum, devel.,fuser, rollers and lots of cleaning!

Getting only about the one third (1/3) of the print and it is light. This has simply got to be an easy fix! There HAS to been some little thing I've missed!
If you help me from checking into the looney-bin, I'd appreciate it so much!

Thanks!
Glen

Have you thought about the High Voltage board? I have a fellow tech that I work with that had the same problem. Turned out to be the HV board.

Charge

I've not seen this problem, but I'm leaning in the same direction. I'm thinking about shorted primary charge.

Transfer roller not seated correctly or missing a spring? I have seen them cause density problems on the falcon series of machines.

i agree with 10871087.. had one the other day with very light print..found one of the springs missing from under transfer roller and roller wasn't seated properly..(no wonder customer said it was also jamming a lot..lol )

i agree with the transfer roller assembly/springs also. i told glen about that the first time he posted this problem. he either didn't read my reply or it didn't fix the problem, but i have myself, seen this exact issue before. it drove me nuts for an hour or so too.

Have you isolated the area of the problem. Did you do a sky shot or all black copy and then checked the drum. If the drum is covered in toner, then the Charge unit is working and the dev unit is ok. Leading you to a transfer problem. As the other techs have said check the transfer roller and pressure springs
