    TA 55001 jams

    The aforementioned MFD is experiencing paper jams from both trays 1 & 2(A4 & A4R....J4211,4212 & 4901,4902) but not from trays 3 & 4.

The jam occurs by the bridging unit, exit unit tailing @ the fuser.

These jams only occur when using the finisher unit as when the finisher & bridging unit have been detached, the MFD works ok.The rollers on trays 1 & 2 are in much better condition that those in trays 3 & 4 thus exchanging them wont cater for much.

The MFD has clocked 365k prints so far.

    Any ideas?

Does it jam if you just remove the finisher and run copies through the bridge unit to exit?

Are you sure the paper sizes are set correctly for the size paper in the drawers?
Testing 1-2-3, testing, testing. Is this thing on?

I had one that was giving a j4601 jam. Replacing the fuser fixed it.

I managed to sort this issue via firmware upgrade & so far,so good.

A nother issue had cropped up with the MFD....I'm now experiencing jams 1503/4 from trays 3 & 4(PF730).I've changed rollers, intherchanged paper feed units, checked cassettes to no avail. The MFD will make about 5 prints/copies...pause for about 5sec & the come up with j1503/4 depending on which tray is being used(the default tray is cassette 3.)

    Any ideas?

i had same problem this morning.there is a bullitin about clearance between shafts/clutches and drive....no fix.
i removed and re fitted pf's1/2/3 and the the relay unit for pf 740 , no jams.
Odd fault.this copier had 70k on the clock and was not touched by trained hands since install.
