    thanks for reply blackandwhite.

I worked on the machine today.
Removed the developing unit, drum, and transfer belt. Removed power supply and the hvt.

Blowed air on the power supply and hvt and also at the back of the machine. Used vacuum cleaner to clean the drum and developer area in the machine. Cleaned the laser.
Removed the developer drive motor and cleaned the contacts behind the motor.

I must admit that i did not dissasemble the engine and main pcb. But blowed air on thrm and did visual check all seem ok also checked all connector that were accesible.

None of the above solved the problem.

I am starting to suspect the hvt pcb. I wish to be sure the hvt is faulty and was looking gor a way to test to be sure before ordering it. I looked in the service manual but cannot find it.

Any further tests or any clue to solve this problem i will be greatful.

    Thanks for support.

well...try with your own ideas.....now these machines are not having a proper fault find guidelines... we have todo our own methods...every one is waiting for the result, which you are going to brought ....may be some un noticed chilly issue will be there... keep try....best of luck.....

Got update from olivetti technical support. He told me to wash the transfer roller in the developer unit with soaped water. Quality got better but not completely solved.

I dont think its the developer, they dont produce streaks.

the base layer is fine, looks like primary transfer is mucked up. Taskalfa Saturns when it was introduced, when the drums are weaken to a point that it starts to leak charge, the drum will "dry rub" the transferbelt. The streaks look like this. But this looks worse.

and 464 is not where you do calibration, its u140. does 5500i have one?

Hello jmaister. Thank you for reply
Did U140 previously but did not solve the problem. Do you think the problem is with the drum ? The problem is that i already replaced the drum.

Any support will be highly appreciated.

do you have another full right side unit available to swap with, cuz the transfer belt is on there.

swap the unit first see if it works.unit.jpg

did you hit anything during service? was this unit pulled out first?

Angry Re: TaskAlfa 5500i Image failure after service

    Hello

i tried to look for a full right side assembly but could not find. Please note that the transfer belt is new.
The machine is still faulty as client is starting go get angry at us.

I asked the engineer who did the maintenance he said he took care ( of course he will say that ) but i check the right side assy it seems to be ok and closes smoothly.

I am out of solution guys. Please anyone got this problem ? Support will be much appreciated.

Pull the drum out and check if the coupling has the Orange tape still in place, which is sometimes not noticed when installing new kit.

Whilst you have the Drum out give the laser window a good wipe with micro fibre cloth! paper dust remover re-attach it.

Is the IDS sensor behind transfer belt clean? It is under cover but I would still check that.
Then the transfer belt it self is it plugged in?

Reg roller dust remover..is it clean

Have you vacuumed out the Dev Duct system from the back and changed the filters ALL of them top, side and inside?

Can't think of anything else right this moment.

    Good luck.. let us know!

Re: TaskAlfa 5500i Image failure after service

    Dear all
thank you for your support. I tried all the proposed solutions but non worked. I ordered a new maintenance kit and will do the maintenance once again.

Can anyone tell me how we can check the high voltage pcb ?
I worked on OCE TDS SERIES machines and i used to check the voltages on the test points on the high voltage pcb.

    Thanks
