Angry TaskAlfa 5500i Image failure after service

    Good Morning,
I have the below problem on a 5500i after a service. the original fault was a charge roller fine line so as the machine was near a service we fitted the complete kit, I have since changed another kit (i case we had a duff one ) but the problem remains even with the original units in, we have followed exactly the procedures and done the machine resets, we have also fitted a new HV board but the problem remains. has anyone seen this before? solution??

Corrupted bias on drum or developer.Check connections between machine and this two units.Transfer roller connection can be bad also.

This looks like main charge is being lost....possibly dev bias.... but it won't be drum ground or transfer loss

Make sure that the dev unit is going up and smoothly into place.

Re: TaskAlfa 5500i Image failure after service

    Hello
    thanks for reply blackandwhite.

I worked on the machine today.
Removed the developing unit, drum, and transfer belt. Removed power supply and the hvt.

Blowed air on the power supply and hvt and also at the back of the machine. Used vacuum cleaner to clean the drum and developer area in the machine. Cleaned the laser.
Removed the developer drive motor and cleaned the contacts behind the motor.

I must admit that i did not dissasemble the engine and main pcb. But blowed air on thrm and did visual check all seem ok also checked all connector that were accesible.

None of the above solved the problem.

I am starting to suspect the hvt pcb. I wish to be sure the hvt is faulty and was looking gor a way to test to be sure before ordering it. I looked in the service manual but cannot find it.

Any further tests or any clue to solve this problem i will be greatful.

    Thanks for support.
