    Taskalpha 5500i error code C6030

I have a taskalpha 5500i that gets the error code c6030 every once in awhile. When I reset it, it goes away for a week or so. I just changed the fuser a couple months ago. I tried to clean the thermistors and still the same issue.

I haven't tried putting the old fuser back in, I am thinking about switching the thermistors.

Are you guys finding the same issue and what is your solution if so?

    Thanks!

Usually when I get intermittent fuser codes like this I start suspecting power issues. When a customer calls with this code my first question are power outages and such and 90% of the time that is the cause. Reset and truck on. Have 1 town that when the tire plant starts ramping up production it pulls power levels down on the schools and their IT guy has to go around reseting fusers.

    I agree with Kidaver...

Also what are some of the other enviromental factors ?
Does it have good air flow for the fans ?
Office? Warehouse ? Special media? Fuser temps changed from default ?

It's always power issue. Problem is a Power module where is zero-cross witch check what power is connected (110V or 230V) if form some reson have loss of power (som deice can make this) then zero-cross send malunfunction code. it happend very often. you can reset this code always if you have service acces :P the best way is to connect machine to UPS.

    Change the fixing unit....

    Broken fuser thermistor 1
    wire
    A temperature of less than
    30°C/86F was observed at
    the fuser thermistor 2 when
    the temperature at the fuser
    thermistor 1 is greater than
    70°C/158F during warming
    up.
    Fuser thermistor 1 detects a
    temperature lower than 50C/
    122F for 15 s during warming
    up.
