Is not possible. And if it were possible, how do you do your adjustments without a service mode?

I think the factory can change that, but for us simple tech it's not possible. Don't know if you're into Ricoh, but the latest models have Service Mode Lock. The service mode is then protected by a password. When you fill in the password you can go into the service mode the usual way. I haven't seen this on the Kyocera's.

Newer machines support maintenance mode U010, but careful not to forget what you change it to.
