KM5050 turns original orientation on copy intermitently

Hope I can explain this clearly

    Customer runs only 11 x 8 1/2

Intermittantly it will turn the image sideways as if it was 8 1/2 x 11 on the 11 x 8 1/2 paper.

I thought it was the doc feed misreading the original size so I replaced the feed and sep rollers, but today she said she asked for 2 sets and the first set came out right and the second set was rotated.

Is there some setting that could cause this?

yes I originally thought doc feed, but as I said when she asked for 2 copies of the same original and the first came out right and the second was turned, it caused me to rethink that.

Direct sunlight is the worst, but bright fluorescent light can do it too. On a Canon I pulled up a chair, and rotated one of the bulbs 1/4 turn. Two of the bulbs went out in the fixture. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
