    DF-710 Lock-up Issue

    Hello everyone,

long time reader, first time poster. I have a DF710 on a 5050 that has a nasty habit of not resetting tray A to its home position. it appears to happen completely at random, and with no set amount of copies triggering the event. It also does not output an error code to maybe assist in providing a reason for this occurring. It just disallows the use of Tray A, and the staple feature. The only way we can get it to go back to default is by doing a U906. Kyocera's help desk has no history in regards to problem similar to this one.

Does anyone know a long term, or permanent solution to this particular issue? I have already done a firmware update.

It does display an error, you just have not been there to see it. And your enduser just flips the switch Off/On to isolate the finisher, ignoring the error number.

Print an U000 > Event Log. In the right hand column you'll see the list of error codes. It will start with a C8xxx. If you can't figure out how to enter service mode, or do not what the code means, please consult your manual. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I have also seen where those 3 fingers were not always coming out because they were sticking to the pads behind to them.
