Question Task Alfa 3050ci Firmware error

    Hi A,

I had a TA 3050ci which the Ops PWB went out. Replaced it and went to load the firmware in but it would not take. Did a boot from the Ops PWB using the boot switch and re tried to load the firmware.

When I did it started the load but came up with and error - panel and a message: Master file: DL_panl.2K3 or DL_panl.2KZ or DL_panl.2LC not found.

Checked the firmware and it was on there (DL_panl.2lc). Tried older firmware and no luck still get error.
NOTE: after I end the firmware load and re boot it comes up again with a F000 fault so I have to reboot from the OPS panel.

Kyocera guys said faulty OPS PWB so I replaced again with a known good one and the same thing happened. Also tried a known good Main PWB and still had the problems.

    Any Ideas????

    Thanks Larhal

    Try different USB memory key

THere was a post somewhere here on the forum about the USB being not recognised and to be without any security files loaded after you format it!

The USB stick was formatted fat and was OK as I had used it to load firmware on other machines of this series. It is starting the firmware update but has an error on the firmware for the operations panel.

Have you tried using the usb port on the back of the machine where the network connection is located?

you can use the usb port where the network connection is or if you want remove the back cover and use a cf card. The slot is there in the back of the unit.
