    FS-6525 - generic toner

My manager states that he installed a generic toner in a FS6525 and now every time you start machine it states that you are using compatible toner and you must press OK. Is there a way to stop that message from appearing?

    Thanks for any help.

Use the right toner. The chip on the toner cartridge tells the machine if the toner is genuine or not.

I realize the crum chip gives the info for generic toner or OEM. I would love to use OEM toner but the purchasing department does not. I know it creates more calls to use generic, but that is out of my hands.

If you have to visit 1 customer for toner related problems, you instantly lose the benefit of that cheaper toner bottle.

Sounds like you will have to press the button every time, until they start using OEM, if ever.
