| you don't change the speed of the laser. you go into the system/users menu through control panel and set "silent mode" to on and set the time. 10 sec. is what most of mine are at. this shuts the laser down after ten secs. this procedure is in the owners manual. i think, if i remember correctly, that you get into it by holding the left and right exposure keys down at same time. you should see F00 pop up on display if you did it right. you can print the list out by going to F01, i think, and then hitting the "enter" key. if you change the laser speed, you will get wider or narrower images in the horizontal plane.
