Furthermore I am not sure about this website, wether it is plagued with technicians that are not Kyocera or Copystar trained technicians. I have noticed some customers even blogging on this site. I hate helping a dealership that is not an authorized dealer and furthermore I hate getting stuck working on a machine that some fly by night copier technician just got done working on.
DUMASS being the operative word, what happenend with you mf, take it easy, this is a forum for people to HELP each other. I get the feeling that if you had a kalshnikov 7.62 we would have a maysacre on our gd hands

I ordered a new drum unit with charger since it only has 140k and is under warranty. The toner is coming from the front seal for the drum. The end of the drum was caked so this should take care of it. If not, it doesnt matter, Im on vacation for 2 weeks for the birth of my first daughter. They can worry about it now.

Could be caused by the lamp not lighing up while scanning. Or the main charge corona is gounding out. check all connections on the main charge unit. look to see if it has been arching (black spots on the grid or metal around the wire.) Make a copy with the lid up and see if the lamp is lighting up while scanning.

Black Copies on KM / CS 3050 4050 5050

All the black copies I ever had with the 3050, 4050 and 5050's was always due to the Main Charge Corona Unit. I usually remove the motor that cleans the corona unit, because they fail a lot, and leave the one gear that drives the corona wire and grid cleaner.

Remove the Corona Assembly and clean the grid and wire real good with alcohol. If this resolves the problem, make sure you keep a Corona in your Car Stock. If not could be the Main Board. Check to see if you get print while in simulation 1087, 1087, maintenance 000 and print. If you get a print in simulation could be the board. Check to see if the scanner bulb is coming on. Black copies can also be caused by the laser unit but you'll get a code. Most likley it's the Corona... good luck.
