IMAG2112.jpgTake out the fuser drive unit p/n: 302K093131 DR-895B Not hard to do.

Inside this assembly, off the fuser drive motor is a POLYSLIDER WASHER p/n: 2FT18370. I'm going to bet the spring that rides on it has worn through the washer and is "knocking" on the metal frame. I was able to get some washers from hardware store for 43 cents. Still in the testing phase but they should last longer doubled up and with some lubrication.

They used this same drive unit on 205/255c and 2550ci and 2551ci units. Also setting Energy Saver on these models still keeps the fuser slowly rotating...Sleep timer will halt the fuser from rotating.

    Good Luck
