Negative on that. Just print the printer status page to see if the optional memory shows "installed".
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: kyocera km 2050 memory ram upgraded

Ok. So the first question is: Which DIMM memory are you trying to upgrade? multiple choice: copier or printer

Before the DIMM memory can be upgraded the MFP must be turned off and unplugged.

The copier can be upgraded from, 64MB in port YS1, by removing the 64MB DIMM and installing up to two 128MB DIMMS in ports YS1 and YS2 on the main PWB.
The printer can be upgraded from 64MB built-in to 320MB, by adding up to 256MB DIMM in port YC2 of the printer card. Additionally a MicroDrive can be installed in the CF port of the print card.

This information is scattered around, here and there, but mostly in the release bulletin #1. =^..^=

Re: kyocera km 2050 memory ram upgraded

Thank you blackcat I'm trying to install a printer memory card. You said it was only one slot for the printer and I saw 3 slots 2 bigg with 1 card 64mb and the third is small and empty, I'm starting to think I have the wrong memory because it's for the biggest slot which I understand now is for the copier because you said the copier memory has one 64mb and the printer has 64mb whitout any card . Do you know what I need to buy to increase the printer memory.thank you
