KM3035 Image on glass offset when copied?
I usually use Intravia manuals to repair most copiers. I recently started specializing in KM/Copystar copiers, (2530, 3530, 3035, etc...). I buy them "OFF LEASE" and clean 'em up and send "em out. The last two 3035s have been printing 1/4 " off from the original on the glass. I'm going to order an actual manual from KM but I tried Intravia's sequence of sim 34, 66, & 71 or something like that but it doesn't take care of it. Drawers are snug. ??????????

I don't know where intravia's gets it from, but I follow this order:
034, 402, 067, 072.
=^..^=

Intravia's list seems to be right.
U034 RCL ON is the leading edge adjustment for prints. I start there, but I always switch to the interrupt mode in U402 to measure it. The second line should be 20mm from the leading edge of the paper. The printout also shows where the margin lines are.
U066 ADJUST DATA is the leading edge for the glass.
U071 LEAD EDGE ADJ is the leading edge for the document processor.
When you get the KM manual, the Appendix section 2-4-12 has a neat list of image adjustments and a suggested order to do them in.

Use The Bypass 1st To Set Up Your Adjustments!! Then Set The Cassettes Up Then The Adf. Check Each With The Internal Prints. Also How Many Copies On The Unit? Is It Time To Replace The Clutch?

Sorry to hi-jack this thread, but every service tech should read Jim Intravia's credo "It's Only A Machine" on his website.
I read it about 25 years ago and it still rings true.

If the problem is from the 2 multipurpose trays, then you may want to look at the adjustment for them in the tray. There is a screw in the tray with a scale that can be adjusted for what you are talking about. Alson you might want to check that the side fences are properly working as I have seen the teeth to these guides break and offset the position of the copies.

They all work the same but electronic adjustments tend to require the exact settings.
That and anaolg works almost exactly 180 degrees out of digital.
That which made the image dark now makes it light.
Kinda like the difference between LIQUID and POWDER.
