They're supposed to. I have not had much success with this "repair method" discussed. It's almost certainly a return call. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Do it Right, Replace the Touch Screen and be done with it, Try some common sense. These used to be on back order because of the failure rate.
I will buy the new part from Hansoon.
He will send me by mail. Depending of the postage service it can take from 3 to 10 working days to get here.
So I wan't to get my machine operational at least until the part comes and also to know what to do if it happens again
I got this machine second hand and I am learning all the stuff about it.
Any other tips about keeping it alive are welcome

If its any help I have replaced the part shown but in all my 3 cases the screen had completely gone.The part cost around £65,Kyocera said to replace the whole control panel at several £100,
Well my lcd is displaying all the menu items but the Touch pad is not reacting on my touching.
In calibration 2 of 3 crosses are able to calibrate but the third one is not :/ Hope the electronics didn't die.
That's exactly it,you have all the icons but no reactions.
I've never had anything but touch screen cause problems your having. Have had lcd go out but not cause that kind of problem.
Don't forget to replace the foam pads.The old ones will be too compressed for reuse.
