    Copystar 300i Fax Issues

    Customer = Hospital
    Departments = 2 (ICU / PCU)
    Location = next door to each other, connected stations, approx. 100ft between machines
    Machines installed approx. August 2011
    Issue started approx. Feb 2014
    .
    Issue Summary: Customer complains of jamming in DP when faxing groups of 20 or more documents. Issue shows up with outside and in house numbers, intermittently. Issue found to not be "jammed" but in fact, fax is timing out or otherwise losing communications with the receiving fax machine.

    Repair attempts include: Multiple techs have been on this issue... some calls were legit jams, after obstructions like paper clips or bent mylars were removed, the DP worked fine. Some calls other parts such as rollers/clutches were replaced. About 6 weeks ago one entire machine was replaced due to the repeated calls for the fax issues. ECM has been turned off and transmission speed adjusted. Normal operation of both machines ok as far as print/copy/scan. Both only presenting issues with fax with large quantity originals and can not be replicated when tech onsite.

    Any suggestions?

    You might try tinkering with sim u660 ... specifically:
    In simulation U660 Set Calls, Exchange, set from PSTN to PBx.

    There are a bunch of PBx related settings that I don't entirely understand. I would try experimenting with those settings. =^..^=
    If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
