    Kyocera IB-51 setup software

Does anyone know where I can download the setup utility for this Wireless card? The setup guy put the card in and threw away the disk. The utility is not on kdaconnect for download. I called Kyo tech support and the guy tried to email it to me but the file was too big (33meg). There doesn't seem to be any way to configure that thing without the utility. I can not see it in the printers web interface, nor can I configure it through the printers user menu. The printer is a P6021 color. Any info would be much appreciated.

The way I see it you have two choices:

    1) Maybe this document will help: KYOCERA Document Solutions | Digital Imaging Products for Document Management

    2) Use an FTP site to transfer your file, like:

    https://www.transferbigfiles.com/
DropSend - Email large files and send large files
    https://www.hightail.com/
    or Google Drive

    =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

You won't see it through the printer web page, you'd have to connect to it through it's own IP address. I set one up one an M3540idn. It was under network, then something like option, if I recall correctly. Never set one up on a printer though.
    Hope that helps !

Thanks guys. Blackcat : I did see that document that you referenced but it shows instructions on how to configure it once you have an IP address in it. I can't seem to figure out a way to get an address into it without that utility. Tmaged: I saw something in the user menu that showed something like "option interface", I did enable and restarted the printer but can't find anywhere to set the IP. I am going to see if Kyo tech support can drop the utility in my Dropbox account.

    Re: Kyocera IB-51 setup software

almost a year later from this post .. and I get to set one up!

its a IB51..on a 5551ci.. prints fine... but cant get scanning to work.. email FTP or SMB....of course if i hardwire to the builtin NIC scans arrive just fine..but thru the IB..no go.

i can browse to the IB web page.. which then has the Printer Mang. CCRX link that then forwards to Command Center.. and i there set up the Addres Book... but the scans seem to not "forward" out the Optional Network..the IB51.

has anbody got scanning to work out the IB51?

(this is for a special application where there is not hope for an ethernet drop)

    Cheers!

I can't find verification right now, but if I remember correctly the IB-51 only supports printing. Can't scan through the connection. I just can't remember where I got that from.

Darry is correct, printing only. It's made to be a dual NIC function, not an option. Use a wireless bridge if you need scanning, in which case, you wouldn't need the IB-51.
    Hope that helps !

You can scan through the IB-51, you just have to select it in the system/network section to use the Optional nic and not the standard. You can only scan from either the IB-51 or the standard NIC, but not both.
You can print to both interfaces at the same time.

that sounds great.. yes .. disable the stnd NIC and have the scans set up in Command Centers Address Book go right out the IB51.

it is interesting to log into the IB, click on CCRX.. and from there see the Command Center.

but standing in front of the copier, clicking thru the Network setting for Optional Network, i did not see where to choose to ONLY use the IB51....?
