    Alphard 3050ci

    Hello,
im new to Kyoceras, having come from a Canon background,
recently I swapped out a black drum, upon rebooting the
machine the waste toner pot error msg appears and will not clear,
having remade the the waste toner connecter and stripped and cleaned out the sensor the issue remains,
    any help would be appreciated,
    regards

Is the neck of the bottle clean? My guess is that you dumped the waste toner, filling those two little pockets right in the neck of the bottle with toner. If the optical sensor cannot shine light through the neck of the bottle, it's full. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

    Thanks,
    bottle has been replaced,
this has happened on the older 300ci series and has cured the problem,
    but not this time,
    regards

I've only had one machine in recent history giving false waste bottle messages ... it was a bizhub 364e (the monochrome version). I believe the consensus was that the bottle detection photointerrupter had failed. Unfortunately that photointerrupter was permanently affixed to the front main PWB, but I believe warranty covered it. =^..^=

make sure that the connector for the hopper assembly is fully in. During the hopper removal when replacing the drum it is possible you may have pulled one of the other connectors off.

one time i replaced waste toner container and the message was remaining, after a while watching i realized one door was not closed correctly and that was the problem, it seems like machine do no reset an error message if get another one and go on showing the first error even if solved...
