    Loading firmware on older Kyocera's

Hi had to load firmware on a FS 9530 the other day and it didn't go too well.

I had a look at the instructions and usb stick seemed the easiest way.

The firmware extracted to three folders

    Engine

    System

    Panel

The engine folder looked like this

    kyocera firmware.JPG

I copied download.bat and the bin file to the root of the stick and plugged it in, Supervisor mode appeared on the screen which looked good, after about twenty minutes a message appeared that looked like the level of firmware that was loaded so I assumed it was done.

I did the same for system and panel folder.

After that I get a message about a parallel interface or something like that.

    Where did I go wrong?

all you need to do is drop these two files onto the root of the usb stick
    Engine S2G1_1000020001.bin
    System S2G1_3000015007.bcmp

Thanks I thought it would be easier than the official instructions.

But what's the panel firmware for then if you don't use it?

JSC is correct, panel is for different languages.
