strange fault and kyocera have no answer. it copies fine on glass either color or b&w through the doc feeder the registration is about 10 mil out.

it has had (from another machine)main pwb ,engine pwb ,and scanner pwb .also did a firmware update but still the same.

ADF scan speed is faster in B&W mode. Could be a clutch/sensor timing issue at the higher speed.

I think that I would concentrate on the mechanical aspects of the DP: rollers, sensors, clutches, height adjustment, etc. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

That won't affect your image registration, but it can cause light or blank copies, and/or add toner indications, and/or C7101 codes.

The only other thing I can think of is a U021 All Clear. That's a desperation move though! Be sure you've got a Maintenance Report printed first, and be prepared to reload firmware, and backup you're addressbook. Also the machine destination will revert to 000. You'll have to specify KyoceraMita, Copystar, Utax, ... whatever. =^..^=
