(besides just the 8 wallpapers that come standard?)
(besides just the 8 wallpapers that come standard?)
The short answer is Yes.
I am not sure how but someone who understands JAVA script should be able to.
There's software to do this from Kyocera but I couldn't figure out how to make it work. Haven't messed with it in awhile and I don't remember what it was called. Sorry.
Also, if I'm remembering correctly from the learning center videos, you can also upload your own backgrounds by formatting a picture to the right dimensions, saving it as a particular file type, loading it on to a USB, and then you can import it with one of the maintenance mode codes.
I wish I had more specific answers but I haven't actually tried to change the home screen yet. It's definitely possible though.
Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you.
O.o

go to service manual and look for sim 224
what wierd is after access to U224.. then Install.. all the choices are greyed out.. even Kyo Tech Support got stuck (but it may hv been a new guy)
File MUST follow this criteria:
size: 480 x 800 pixels
file name: menu_background.png (this is case sensitive and must be exactly as you see it. You may need to edit your file view defaults to show extensions)
file type: png (use a graphics editor that allows saving to .png, you cannot simply rename a graphics file from .jpg or .gif to .png)
copy file to ROOT of USB drive and install at machine through U224. Once installed, other wallpaper backgrounds will not be available until the custom background is uninstalled.
You can also install a startup image which is exactly the same procedure, just a different file name (opening_ext_image.png)
