    Question KM FS-1135MFP Command center password changed!

    Bought a few KM FS-1135MFP off lease.
    The command center passwords have been changed.
    Tried admin00 and all any other ones I could think of.
    System initialization did not work.
    Anybody have any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Steve

    U021 will work. But before you do it, print the event log to have some insight into machine's history.

    Edit:

    My bad, don't think this model has U021. If you look up other threads you will find a prescribe command that could reset it. If i remember correctly it was: !R! EGRE; EXIT;

    Can try U002 in service mode that sets back to factory defaults, hopefully that would put the password back to admin00.

    Have you tried,

    For initial login, use the predefined “Admin” as the Use Name, and “Admin” as the

    Password to access all the pages. For initial login, use the predefined Admin as the Use

    Name, and Admin as the Password to access all the pages. This is set up internally.

    Also remember this is case sensitive.

    service mode 02 does not work, it is only for sending the scanner to the home position for shipping ect, it say factory default, but does nothing for resets.

    do a search for "kyocera password reset" on the search function on this forum ..the master of the obvious and another guy has the prescribe command to do this reset. Machines that has service mode 21 will reset. NOTE... some machines does not have service mode 21 unitll the firmware is updated to add more sm functions. e.g fs-3640. this machine does not have service mode 21 even after fw update

    I looked at book and went to a machine it says resetting to factory default for U002 it may not reset code but it does say for reset to factory default. U021 may also work though.
    U002 Setting the factory default data
    Description
    Restores the machine conditions to the factory default settings.
    Purpose
    To move the mirror frame of the scanner to the position for transport (position in which the frame can be fixed).
    Method
    1. Press the start key.
    2. Select [MODE1(ALL)] using the cursor up/down keys.
    3. Press the start key.
    The mirror frame of the scanner returns to the position for transport.
    4. Turn the main power switch off and on.
    An error code is displayed in case of an initialization error. Refer to the table of the error codes on P.1-3-13.
    When errors occurred, turn main power switch off then on, and execute initialization using maintenance
    item U002.

    This Precsribe commad worked on older models, it might be worth trying:
    !R!
    SIOP0,'RESET:0';
    EXIT

    I found this prescribe command on another thread.

    !R! KSUS "AUIO", "CUSTOM:Admin Password = 'admin00'";EXIT;

    The FTP response was good, but it failed to fix the pw problem. Can anyone verify the quoted one above worked?

    Since these machines are off lease they probably have the old service contact info label on them somewhere. I would just call and ask to speak to the service manager, and tell him whats going on, and he may give you the password.

    Very good idea, thanks, but the wholesaler removed that. If all else fails, the wholesaler will get us in contact with someone to resolve. There are so many threads about this, and so far none of the prescribe commands work.
