Re: KM-5050 faint copies.
And sometimes the laser slit glass and even Mirrors are dirty. Poor lazer = poor print/copy. But the whole Doc gap cleaning and using OEM toner ETC would be the other major thing
I have followed up a couple of My tech's to find dirty laser slit glass dirty enough to give crrappy copy

Re: KM-5050 faint copies.
1 u000 [ always print first thing ] this is the setup histroy and meters
2 u89 internal print quailty checks.
3. system menu charge wire then drum refresh
4. remove old toner from dev unit, inspect and clean mag roller with alchohol then install new toner and do 130
5 laser external slit glass cleaned. but every tech should know this, they should mention it in the steps they took.
6 if the drum and charge wire are ok, your internal prints and pc to machine prints should be as good as new.
always keep a used drum with a sample of its output for reference and situations like this. it is easy to snap in and eliminate from the equation.
All the post here i think are relevant to solving this problem. Mr. Reed earlier post in this case i think will solve this problem.
But again, if the drum and charge wire is gone, nothing you can do but replace it.
