DP-410 on a KM-2550 stopping.

We have a DP-410 that's on a KM-2550 that will stop feeding during a job for no apparent reason. I will have to find out for sure what the jam code that gts posted is but I was told it was not a DP code.

They have swapped the feeder and have it here in the shop where of course it works perfectly andthe one that replaces it works perfectly.
They did this before and all was lollypops till they took the feeder back out and it started up again.

Grounding to the feeder has been confirmed. The harness and boards in between have been swapped.

Any body got any ideas???

This is just secondhand, but I remember hearing something about a new style DP controller board to address jamming. There is some sort of a grounding issue.

I'm not the kind to start putting in main boards for no good reason, but if the part # is incremented upward 1 or 2 digits I'd give it a try.

We already have the grounding fix in there.

Try opening the top cover - and then try to puch the take up roller up and down - if the 2 arms locks in the grove - place a mylar in the 2 groves - to make the arms go smoothly.

Try jiggling the loom that connects the DP-410 to the copier while copying and see if your problem re-occurs. Those looms cause intermittent faults.

It is probably a grounding issue, there is a new tech bulletin out on it from KMA .

We have verified it's not the grounding. however it's only doing it at one location. Bring it to the shop and it's a good boy.

I got a tech bulliten from Kyocera that showed to run a ground between the feed in motor and the main motor. i just get a big paper clip and run it between the motors.
i think the problem is when you are running multiple originals in the dp there is alot of static build up that confusses the main logic pwb of the dp. i have also seen the hookup cord have issues also.
