disable Color copies and or color lock

Is there any where in the 5551ci copier where I can disable color by a hardware jumper? Or disable the auto color and full color button on the panel? What about the key counter port (YC25), can I deactivate color copies and enable them from this port?

    thanks!!

kyocera have a program called colorlock which will do what you want .the other way is to use km-net viewer where you can set up who uses color and how many ie no color or a limited amount of color.
this program is on the kyocera document solutions web page and is free.color lock is a dealer only program .

Everything you need for Job Accounting is available on your machine now. Essentially you assign numbers, either to each user, or to each class of users. Perhaps an example is in order ...

Lets say all the monochrome users use code 44444, and all the monochrome/color users use code 55555.
Or you can give each user a number and assign specific permissions, I.e.:
enduser1: 00001 permissions monochrome only, unlimited usage
enduser2: 00002 permissions monochrome and color, unlimited usage
enduser3: 00003 permissions monochrome only, Stop after 20000 clicks
enduser4: 00004 permissions monochrome only, Stop after 24000 clicks

You can assign numbers 3 to 8 digits, naturally the more digits the more secure your code system is.

You can allow unlimited printing, or program specific job account codes into each print driver to restrict usage.

It's all covered in your operators manual. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
