CWP seems to be correct from what info I can find. I thought I recalled what Darry said. I need my wife here to tell me I'm wrong.

Yeah, I remembered reading that scan wasn't available somewhere, but couldn't remember where. Looking through the docs I could find revealed no info one way or the other.

Wireless functionality as well as being able to scan are great selling points. Glad to find out scanning is apparently available. I haven't had the opportunity to install or manage one of these yet.

I had to set one of these up on a 2135dn I think it was. If I remember correctly, the wireless NIC creates an AD HOC network that you have to connect to from the computer side.

Question Re: Kyocera IB-51 setup software

Sorry to bring up an old post, but I'm trying to set an IB-51 on an M3540idn Kyocera, I got it set up to print and I enabled the optional nic, but I still get failures when scanning to folder, if I hook it up to the network cable and disable the optional network I can scan.

Do I have to enable the adhoc ? will I still be able to print doing that ?

You have to tell it that the wireless NIC is the Primary NIC to be able to scan with it. I'll see if I can find where it's at.
    Hope that helps !

I Believe this is what I set to "optional network " It still prints but fails to send
    Network Interface (Send)
Specify the network interface card to be used for the send function, the network authentication

and connecting to external address book.

    Value
    : Standard, Optional Network

    Re: Kyocera IB-51 setup software

I know this is an old thread but the IB-51 is pretty much useless for the most part now due to it only supports SMBv1 and Windows 10 does not. So anyone in the future looking has this info now. Go with the wireless bridge suggested above.
