    KM 2030 Weird Fault

Underside of copies have black bands on the outside. When copy stopped halfway, transfer roller has striped bands but not all the way across, just both ends. Edges of bands are sharp and are about 3mm wide and 40mm long. The centre of the roller is clean. The copy side is perfect. Drum unit, dev unit, hv board, transfer assy have all been exchanged. It looks like the bands are coming via the drum unit as unplugging the transfer still shows the bands on the roller. Maybe the laser is writing these bands early prior to copy image? If so why and how?

with the dealings of the 2030 (which i hate), the image units are known for puking toner out. might want to pull the unit and clean it off and all the paper path...then try it again. its hard to get the seal back on the dv unit.
