i have a 5030 not reproducing color correctly. its there for the most part, but lighter colors.

i have put a mk into it and same issue. i run the same image on a C5015 and it comes out correctly and brighter. there is no density setting on the 5030. does anyone have any ideas on this?

Are internal prints (status page, font list) having the same issue? Is the firmware up to date? I'm assuming there were no issues when you ran Color Calibration and Color Registration.

I had one of these that was producing a light line, and had to dismantle and clean the charge due to the cleaning rod not doing a good job of removing stray toner from the charger. You may also want to wipe off the print heads.

I second the suggestion of wiping the printheads. Should always be done when installing a new MK.
