Do you hear a loud whining noise, aside from the customer at this point? (Rimshot). That's the main indication that the Laser Unit is bad. But normally you'll get just a 4000 code. Try a different Main Charger. Arcing can do some crazy things.

On Kyocera Mita machines the codes are grouped by type, so that all "4000" series codes are related to the laser, all "6000" series codes relating to the fuser, etc.

The terms are not precise, but the advice is still good . =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
